I've just finished it and I'm in BITS. There are literally tears still dripping from my chin. What an extraordinary book. It's exquisitely written, incredibly moving and impossible to put down. Beth O'Leary 'Unique and breathtaking and painful and broken and perfect . . . just like love' Jodi Picoult Joel is afraid of the future. Since he was a child he's been haunted by dreams about the people he loves. Visions of what's going to happen - the good and the bad. And the only way to prevent them is to never let anyone close to him again. Callie can't let go of the past. Since her best friend died, Callie's been lost. She knows she needs to be more spontaneous and live a bigger life. She just doesn't know how to find a way back to the person who used to have those dreams. Joel and Callie both need a reason to start living for today. And though they're not looking for each other, from the moment they meet it feels like the start of something life-changing. Until Joel has a vision of how it's going to end . . . FIVE STAR READER REVIEWS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Sight Of You reminded me a little of One Day by David Nicholls whereby the characters are so well written that you are rooting for them from the start, like old friends. This book broke me to pieces. It was such a great story and so heart-breaking. Do yourself a favour and read this book!!!! This is THE Love Story of the decade.

    • Kiss a tall, dark Texan under the mistletoe! Robert Beltramo was back in Texas, and Gwen Ferris was stuck with him - but only till Christmas! He'd come to claim his inheritance - half of her restaurant. Though what a wildly successful advertising executive wanted with a restaurant was anybody's guess! Like it or not - and Gwen didn't - they were now fifty-fifty partners. And they'd go on being unwilling partners unless she'd agree to Robert's plan. Robert, being Robert, always had a plan. And his plans always infuriated her. His plan A had been to buy Gwen out, plan B to drive her out and this plan C of his...well, that was a doozy! Still, if Gwen could make it through to Christmas Eve with her heart and restaurant intact, it was winner take all...!

      * Shortlisted for the Folio Prize 2014 * Attending a New England summer camp as an adolescent, young Erik Schroder - a first generation East German immigrant - adopts a new name and a new persona - Eric Kennedy - in the hopes that it will help him fit in. This fateful white lie will set him on an improbable and ultimately tragic course. Schroder relates the story of Eric's urgent escape years later through the New England countryside with his six-year-old daughter, Meadow, in an attempt to outrun the authorities amidst a heated custody battle with his wife, who will soon discover that her husband is not who he says he is. From a correctional facility, Eric surveys the course of his life in order to understand - and maybe even explain - his behaviour; the painful separation from his mother in childhood; a harrowing escape to America with his taciturn father; a romance that withered under a shadow of lies; and his proudest moments and greatest regrets as a flawed but loving father.
