Malířská tvorba Stanislava Diviše náleží k výrazným autentickým hodnotám české výtvarné scény. Diviš se narodil v Kutné Hoře v roce 1953. Studoval na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze v letech 1982–1985, tu však kvůli nepřejícnosti tehdejšího komunistického režimu nedokončil. V roce 1983 založil legendární hudební skupinu Krásné nové stroje, jejímž frontmanem je dodnes. Byl iniciátorem řady generačních výstav v neortodoxních prostorách pod názvem Konfrontace a spoluzakladatelem proslulé skupiny Tvrdohlaví. Mezi lety 2003–2010 vedl ateliér malby na VŠUP v Praze. Publikace Květy z ráje vyšla k Divišově stejnojmenné výstavě uspořádané v GASK – Galerii Středočeského kraje v Kutné Hoře. Reflektuje koncepční uspořádání instalovaných obrazů podle sledu jednotlivých tematických cyklů Květy z ráje, Střepy paměti, Vzpomínka na spartakiádu, Nechtěné doteky, Barevná geometrie, Příběhy vládců a Prázdný prostor. Název Květy z ráje je inspirován zářivými vitrážemi oken francouzských gotických katedrál. Srdce výstavy i publikace tvoří Divišova práce za posledních deset let, včetně nejnovějších obrazů z uplynulých dvou let. Doprovodnou studii pro publikaci napsal uznávaný historik umění a kurátor Divišovy výstavy v GASK PhDr. Ivan Neumann. Stanislav Diviš’s painting ranks among the most strikingly authentic values of the Czech art scene. Diviš was born in Kutná Hora in 1953. Between 1982 and 1985 he studied at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts but, due to the malicious attitude of the then Communist regime, he didn’t complete his studies. In 1983 he founded the legendary band Krásné nové stroje [Beautiful New Machines] and remains the band’s lead singer. In the 1980s he instigated a series of exhibitions entitled Confrontations by artists of the then young generation and cofounded the seminal Tvrdohlaví [Stubborn Ones] art group. Between 2003 and 2010 he was in charge of the painting studio at the Prague Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design. The publication Flowers from Paradise accompanies Diviš’s exhibition of the same name staged at GASK – Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region in Kutná Hora. It mirrors the arrangement of the individual thematic painting series at the exhibition: Flowers from Paradise, Fragments of Memory, Memories of the ’90 Spartakiad, Unwanted Touches, Colour Geometry, Stories of Rulers and Empty Space. The title Flowers from Paradise was inspired by the radiant stained-glass windows of French Gothic cathedrals. Both the exhibition and this publication focus on Diviš’s work of the past ten years, especially his latest paintings of the past two years. The accompanying study for the publication was written by the curator of Diviš’s exhibiton at GASK, respected art historian Dr Ivan Neumann.

David Hanvald (narozen 1980 v Liberci) patří k nejsledovanějším českým umělcům mladší střední generace. Ve svém malířském díle přehodnocuje a zpracovává zejména podněty, myšlenky a tvorbu modernistických autorů 20. století. Vzniká tak osobitá, barevně akcentovaná, syntéza postupů modernistických avantgard s postkonceptuálními malířskými trendy současnosti, která nabourává klasické vnímání malovaného obrazu.
