Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Latein, Note: 0,7, , Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Theaterstück, Roman oder Kinofilm viele Geschichten, die von Theaterregisseuren, Schriftstellern, Filmemachern und anderen Leuten erzählt werden, sind dem Genre der Tragödie zuzuordnen. Diese Form der Erzählung, deren Entstehung bis in die Antike zurückgeht, ist auch heutzutage noch von großer Bedeutung. Der griechische Philosoph Aristoteles analysierte und theoretisierte diese Gattung des Dramas und legte wichtige Grundbausteine für die spätere Entwicklung der Tragödie. Zunächst gewährt diese Seminararbeit Einblicke in Leben und Werk des Aristoteles und seine Unterteilung der wissenschaftlichen Themengebiete.Die Untersuchung der Funktion und Wirkung der Tragödientheorie bei Aristoteles erfolgt mit besonderem Augenmerk auf sein Werk Poetik (altgriechisch poietike). Die Frage, ob und inwieweit die Tragödientheorie des Aristoteles heutzutage überhaupt noch von Bedeutung ist und im künstlerischen Schaffen der Neuzeit Verwendung findet, soll in einem weiteren Teil der Arbeit behandelt werden.
