Explore the enchanting world of familiars, magical creatures that assist witches and wizards. This book delves into their unique traits, histories, and the special bond they share with their human counterparts. Readers will discover various types of familiars, their roles in magical practices, and the significance of these companions in the broader context of witchcraft and folklore. Through captivating stories and illustrations, it brings to life the charm and mystery surrounding these mystical beings.

When a scrappy alley cat named Aldwyn passes himself off as a magical animal companion to Jack, a young wizard in training, Aldwyn and his fellow "familiars," a know-it-all blue jay and bumbling tree frog, must save the kingdom after the evil queen of Vastia kidnaps Jack and two other wizards.

Kocouru Aldwynovi, sojce Sylvii a žabáku Gilbertovi se v prvním díle sice podařilo zachránit své patrony před smrtí, ale zlá Paksahara jim přitom unikla. A nyní začala proradná zaječice uskutečňovat své podlé plány, aby ve Vastii znovu nastolila vládu zvířat a z lidí učinila své otroky. Stihnou Aldwyn, Sylvie a Gilbert nalézt tajemný klíč k Pohyblivé pevnosti a zastavit Paksaharu dřív, než zpustoší celou Vastii?
