Godfrey Higgins

    Godfrey Higgins était un magistrat et propriétaire terrien anglais, un défenseur de premier plan de la réforme sociale, un historien et un antiquaire. Il est aujourd'hui surtout connu pour ses écrits sur les mythes anciens, en particulier son livre Anacalypsis, publié à titre posthume, dans lequel il affirme une communauté entre divers mythes religieux, qu'il retrace jusqu'à la prétendue religion perdue de l'Atlantide. Il a été qualifié de « radical politique, magistrat de comté réformateur et historien idiosyncrasique des religions ».
