Este trabajo pretende hacer un recorrido por dos escenarios donde las mujeres son las protagonistas, teniendo como objetivo el liderazgo social de las mujeres de Valledupar en la construcción de la paz. Con base en lo anterior, mi investigación se centra en estos dos 1. LAS MUJERES Y SU INTERVENCIÓN EN LA POLÍTICA. 2. LAS MUJERES COMO ACTIVISTAS SOCIALES. Ellas han participado como actores sociales para hacer incidencia en la región, comprendiendo los impactos del conflicto armado en sus vidas, sus cuerpos, sus familias y sus liderazgos. Estas mujeres valientes que realizan su activismo social en contextos inseguros, han hecho sus aportes en procesos de resistencia y construcción de paz. Socialmente hablando, las mujeres han tenido que luchar decididamente para ir transformando los imaginarios culturalmente implantados y ganarse el reconocimiento como sujetos de derechos y ciudadanas activas.
