Employing new empirical data, the study examines social capital's role across varied political-economic and cultural contexts in China, Taiwan, and the United States. It adopts a comparative lens to uncover both commonalities and differences in how social capital influences labor markets in these diverse societies. The research specifically investigates how the distinctions between capitalist and socialist systems, as well as between Western and Confucian cultures, shape individual social networks and their applications.
