Not only are these easy pieces entertaining, but they reinforce important rudimentary skills of violin technique. No matter what violin method you teach from, your students will gain greater facility of technique by studying these pieces. Especially important in this collection is the rhythmic component, using dotted rhythms, triplets and 16th notes. The student will use all four strings with a variety of articulations and left-hand pizzicato.
