The book explores the concept of human behavior through the lens of goal-oriented actions. It delves into how every behavior is driven by the pursuit of specific objectives, offering insights into the motivations behind various actions. By analyzing the relationship between goals and behavior, it provides a framework for understanding human psychology and decision-making processes. This perspective sheds light on the complexities of motivation and the underlying reasons for individual actions in different contexts.

    • Employing student-related examples for ease of learning and one-on-one engagement with the material, this study includes stories of the experiences of the field's key theorists. It presents the complementary, rather than the opposing, nature of divergent approaches so that the student may learn not only the theories, but also how different aspects of a single field come together.

    • How can love songs be "forbidden"? They can be when the love is between two men in the late '90s and one person is already in a relationship with someone else. This collection of poems is about falling in love when you're 3,000 miles apart. The poems were written over the course of a few months at the beginning of a passionate yet challenging love affair. Many of the poems were actually written in airports after a tearful good-bye and not knowing when I would see him again. Some of the poems were written after my partner's tragic loss of his parents in a homicide/suicide. 22 years later, we're still together today and I love him now more than ever!
