Als er sie zur Rede stellt, behauptet sie, sie sei hergekommen, um eine Freundin zu treffen. Tokinaga weiß, dass sie ihn anlügt, doch er ist sich nicht bewusst, dass Waka die Kraft besitzt, das Schicksal der Welt zu verändern …

Der Schlangengott hat die Kontrolle über den Körper von Akio Minami übernommen und dessen Verlobte, die Ärztin Yoriko Tatsuno, entführt. Zu welchem Zweck vermag sich niemand vorzustellen – doch könnten sich dadurch auch neue Handlungsoptionen für die Menschen eröffnen.
