Wenn auch die, in ritterlicher K hnheit, von den Br dern Budde erschaffene Buddenburg" verschwunden war, erschien ein Kastell gleichen Namens 1340 erneut in der Geschichte, im Besitz des Everhard Vrydach, der sich nach ihm benannte. Schloss Buddenburg an der Lippe bestimmte mehrere Jahrhunderte das Landschaftsbild in und um Lippholthausen. Es war im Familienbesitz der westf lischen Uradelsfamilie von Frydag zu Buddenburg. Schloss Buddenburg, das sp ter in den Besitz der Stadt L nen berging, steht l ngst nicht mehr. Heute pr gen hohe Industriet rme das Landschaftsbild um seinen ehemaligen Standort.
