The ship was sunk by a tsunami but he survived and found himself on a mysterious desert island. The plot is composed of strange stories whose peculiar character is highlighted by the author's stylised language. A journey into the unknown provides an opportunity to show the true face of modern man whose life remains unchanged even after a disaster. Tragiczne wydarzenie splata historie kilkorga bohaterów, z których każdy uwikłany jest w trujące relacje. Rzecz dzieje się w Warszawie. Córka truje ojca, Sąsiadka zatruwa życie sąsiadowi, a powstaniec warszawski - młodej dziennikarce. A wszystko z miłości - w przekonaniu trucicieli oczywiście. Osobnym bohaterem "Toksymii" jest język. Zderzając przemoc i biedę warszawskiej Pragi ze światem snu, posłużyła się estetyką onirycznego studium obcości. Sparodiowała przy tym medialny obraz wykluczenia. Przybliżając go w soczewce, osiągnęła efekt groteski, której siła już dawno nie była słyszana w polskiej prozie.
