Quando torna a casa dopo una giornata di lavoro nella sua bottega di orologiaio, si mette comodo e inizia a sfogliare il giornale. Un giorno però Hermux trova nel giornale la fotografia di una cliente che al mattino gli ha portato a riparare un orologio da polso, una topolina dinamica e sbarazzina che non era più riuscito a levarsi dalla testa. La signorina Perflinger nella foto del giornale era ritratta accanto a un aeroplano su una pista di atterraggio in mezzo alla giungla. Hermux non vede l'ora di rivederla. Hermux Tantamoq is an average mouse who works in his watch shop by day and spends his evenings at home with Terfle, his pet ladybug. But all that changes when Linka Perflinger, daredevil aviatrix, steps into his shop, drops off her watch for repair, and walks out with Hermuxs heart. When a shady-looking rat tries to claim Linkas watch, Hermux knows that something must be terribly wrong, and embarks on a dramatic quest to find her . . .
