Chae Strathie est un auteur jeunesse primé et journaliste, dont les années de formation passées dans un petit village entouré d'une forêt écossaise ont probablement façonné son imagination. Sa première tentative d'écriture professionnelle a impliqué la création d'une bande dessinée Star Wars à l'âge tendre de sept ans.
