The study explores the phenomenon of mannerism among psychiatric nurses, utilizing Colaizzi's phenomenological methodology to analyze their experiences while providing care. Five key themes emerged: loss of passion, impassive demeanor, mental withdrawal, situational assimilation, and self-awareness of change. The findings highlight the need for psychiatric nurses to reflect on the essence of their nursing practice and advocate for interventions that enhance qualitative care for mental health patients. Additionally, the study calls for improved institutional support and administrative systems in nursing services.
