Grada Kilomba est une artiste et écrivaine interdisciplinaire dont le travail aborde la mémoire, le trauma, la race, le genre et la décolonisation du savoir. Elle crée intentionnellement un espace hybride entre le langage académique et artistique, utilisant le récit comme élément central de ses pratiques décoloniales. Kilomba est reconnue pour son usage subversif et non conventionnel de méthodes artistiques, donnant corps, voix et image à ses propres textes – une pratique qu'elle nomme Performing Knowledge – à travers des formats tels que la performance, l'installation et le film.
