Er studierte Philosophie in Edinburgh und Freiburg, arbeitete einige Jahre als Journalist und promovierte in Psychologie bei Prof. Hans Bender. Danach Tätigkeit in USA und an der Universität Island in Reykjavik. Prof. Haraldsson hat acht Bücher geschrieben, drei davon sind auf Deutsch erschienen. Dr. phil. KARLIS OSIS (1917–1997) wurde in Riga in Lettland geboren. Er war einer der wenigen Psychologen, die einen philosophischen Doktor aufgrund einer Dissertation erhalten haben, die sich mit außersinnlicher Wahrnehmung (ASW) beschäftigt (Universität München, 1950).
