Mit der Überbetonung des Verstandes wird die Fähigkeit des Menschen zur ästhetischen Weltbindung ausgeblendet. Eine Geographie, welche die Mensch-Welt-Beziehung untersucht, z. B. in Form raumbezogener Identifikationsprozesse, benötigt jedoch eine präzise Reflexion dieser ästhetischen Dimension des Seins und des Tuns.
