English for Business is an advanced intermediate course on the language of business and commerce, published by Oxford University Press and the BBC. The material consists of The Bellcrest File, a handbook accompanying the BBC series entitled The Bellcrest Story, and a Teaching Package which comprises, in addition to this Student's Book, a Teacher's Book, a series of thirteen Tapes and a Tape Companion. There is also a series of tapes which present The Bellcrest Story when the TV or film series is not available. All the items in the Teaching Package combine to provide a wide variety of exploitation material based on The Bellcrest Story. The course as a whole aims to train the skills of communication in English with common business and social contexts, thus training the student to handle English efficiently in the practical situations of his everyday work.
