En savoir plus sur le livre

Oxford Reading Tree continues to be a beloved reading scheme, helping countless children learn to read with Biff, Chip, and Kipper. We are excited to present a fresh new look tailored for today’s children, teachers, and parents, featuring vibrant new covers and artwork. Alex Brychta's engaging style captivates children, enhancing their enjoyment of the stories. The updated editions include newly illustrated artwork for core stories at Stages 2-5, making them more appealing than ever. The stories that have always sparked children's imaginations remain unchanged, except for the addition of an exciting new story at Stage 3, "The Egg Hunt," which replaces "Dolphin Pool." We have simplified the scheme's structure based on feedback: Owls Storybooks now correspond to Stages 6 and 7, magpies to Stages 8 and 9, wrens at Stage 2 are now patterned stories at Stage 1+, and wrens at Stage 3 have become patterned stories at Stage 2. To support teachers, we have introduced new teaching materials, including flexible, easy-to-store teacher's notes provided free with each book pack, saving preparation time. Additionally, new Take-Home cards for every Storybook from Stages 1-9 help parents engage with their child's reading. A free resources website offers downloadable materials, along with a new Teacher's Handbook and a special edition for Scotland.
