En savoir plus sur le livre

Research in mobile communication systems has focused on achieving higher peak data rates and more reliable transmissions. This has led to the development of various techniques, including interleave division multiple access (IDMA) and wireless relaying, which have typically been studied separately. This thesis seeks to integrate IDMA with relaying by presenting and examining IDMA-based relaying schemes. It revises and enhances existing literature while proposing and evaluating new schemes. The discussion also emphasizes channel coding as a vital aspect of system design. Alongside the iterative IDMA detection process, various code design approaches are introduced and compared within the relevant systems. Based on these approaches, modulation and coding schemes (MCSs) are developed, leading to the establishment of different quality of service (QoS) classes. The IDMA-based relaying schemes are then compared to orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) methods, which are prevalent in fourth-generation mobile communication systems. A simulation framework is introduced to model electromagnetic wave propagation in urban environments, serving as the basis for numerical evaluations of system performance. The results highlight the significant potential of the proposed schemes.
