Henry Irving's pilot which covers the flat coasts of Norfolk, Lincolnshire and the Humber was first published in 1976. Since then it has come to be regarded as the essential companion for yachts visiting the drying harbours and creeks on this fascinating coast. For this fifth edition the opportunity has been taken to make full use of colour. Most of the photographs are new, the plans have been updated and all have been redrawn. Since the first edition was published changes have generally been modest but there have been major developments in Hull, Grimsby and Wisbech which all now have their yacht harbours. Numerous small changes and improvements have been taking place each year and these have all been recorded by Henry Irving to bring the pilot up to date. The photographs on the front cover, from top are of Barton Haven, Spurn Head and Brancaster Harbour. Wisbech is below.
