This text explores such areas of geography as basic mapwork, place location, land use patterns, geomorphology and weather and climate. It is the first book in the three-book Foundation Geography series and aims to present accessible material for students at Key Stage Three of the National Curriculum. Content is covered in plain and simple language, with text in manageable sections. The books offer activities based on learning by doing, with clearly-worded tasks (many with sample answers) and the step-by-step development of essential skills.
