En savoir plus sur le livre

The Analects is considered one of the most important texts of ancient China. It is thought to be a compilation of discussions among Confucius and various sages on different topics, recorded by his followers or students. Some findings suggest that the text was written during the Warring States period (475–221 BC) in Chinese history. According to experts, the text gained significance during the Han Dynasty (206 BC–220 AD), a time when efforts were made to unify the states of China under one imperial structure, and it began to be regarded as one of the most important texts of Confucianism towards the end of this period. The leading figures of that time likely viewed the Analects as a guide for building a great state.
