En savoir plus sur le livre
Roger, brought up by an unhappy, sexually confused, single mother with an evil world view, is the grandson of a prolific judge who is an unknown rapist. His father Peter, the judge's son, became a homosexual after forced participation in his grand-father's sex parties that resulted in Peter's vulnerable and effeminate nature and the dominatrix Sarah raping him to conceive Roger. In spite of these realities, Roger studies law and eventually becomes an attorney like his grandfather before him. In his position, Roger craves power and gains it. He is asked by New World Order henchmen to join them in becoming party to acts beyond the pale. While Roger maintains a close bond with his mother, he destroys women he becomes involved with psychologically. Eventually, he has an identity crisis of his own. To heal, he goes on summer sabbatical and resigns himself to living in a cave in the Lake District. While there, he follows in the footsteps of a great poet, Wordsworth . . . who becomes his idol. when he finally returns to his native France as an Anglophile, he falls in love with a bohemian beauty then patiently waits for her to be charmed by his advances. The waiting tames his inner dialogue and genetic nature as he enters middle-age. Will he find peace? Or revert to his psychological dungeon?
