A core text for the general curriculum course, which is offered at both the senior and graduate levels, this book focuses on using basic curriculum concepts and perspectives to analyze curricula. Eight curricula are presented and analyzed for the reader. They include both elementary and secondary curricula in all four of the major school subjects. Five theoretical perspectives are presented - traditional, structure-of-the-disciplines, experiential, cognitive, and behavioural. Each of the major curriculum topics is viewed from each perspective.
