Influences include visual poetry, Asian brush calligraphy, prehistoric rock paintings and marker pen graffiti. Part of a wave of "asemic writing", this book transcends language and nationality to arrive at something truly global. These glyphs encourage you to learn new ways of reading, and ask you to question your understanding of what writing is. Tim Gaze is also known for Asemic Magazine, the sound poetry album Shapes, and the graphic novel 100 Scenes.
