This is a textbook on the history of Russian culture for high school and college students studying English. It consists of three chapters. The first one, called Highlights in History, contains essays on the history of Russia from its foundation up to 1991. The second chapter, Modern Russia, tells about facts and realities of Russian life today, its traditions, everyday life, holidays, etc. The third chapter contains tests, games, and other activities which help students to learn.
