Inspired by real life events, this award winning play, The Last Encore, tells a fictional story about two singers that were the driving force behind one of the greatest five man singing groups during the 1970's to emerge from the motor city. When the group dissolved, one member went to California and enjoyed continued success in television commercials, while the other member remained in Detroit and became involved in business ventures that were less than legal. The play accelerates into fast action when an enjoyable reunion visit one September evening between them in Detroit goes terribly awry to the point of life or death.
