Zwischenzeit (Interim) is the dystopian portrait of a disintegrating society. 96 pictures arranged as a narrative run right through the Europe of the years 2004 to 2010 and give an insight into events determined by power and powerlessness. Many of the perceptions conveyed contradict the portrayals in contemporary publications. Neither the images themselves nor their causal arrangement are commented on. When Zwischenzeit (Interim) was published in 2013 the series was introduced only by a brief foreword by the photographer: “This is my report on the approach of momentous times ...”
