En savoir plus sur le livre
The 2009 Australasian Conference on Information Security and Privacy marked the 14th annual event since its inception in 1996. Originally a smaller conference with a significant number of Australian submissions, it has evolved into a prestigious international gathering. Held at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane from July 1–3, 2009, the conference received 106 paper submissions, with 30 accepted for presentation, although one was later withdrawn. The accepted authors hailed from 17 countries across 4 continents, showcasing the global nature of the conference. We extend our gratitude to all authors who submitted papers. In addition to the contributed papers, the conference featured two invited talks from prominent researchers in information security. Basie von Solms from the University of Johannesburg, President of IFIP, posed thought-provoking questions about the state of information security. L. Jean Camp from Indiana University discussed strategies for securing networks against internal threats. We appreciate their insights and the challenges they presented to the delegates. A dedicated Program Committee, whose members are acknowledged, played a crucial role in organizing the event, supported by numerous individuals who reviewed papers in their areas of expertise.
