„The Petroleum Geology and Resources of The Sudan“ is no doubt a commendable initiative as a useful specialized reference book. The book offers valuable and informative venue to promote investment and enrich the geo-scientific research in our domestic exploration and/or development activities. It represents a further manifestation of the recognized support provided by the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas to the Geo-scientists community. The publication of this book is indeed timely at this critical stage of oil production in the country. the ultimate objective of this contribution is to avail a wealth of information, which would encourage further exploration and development investments in order to increase the hydrocarbon reserves in Sudan.
