Daren Wang est le Directeur Exécutif fondateur de l'AJC Decatur Book Festival, qui en est à sa douzième année. En tant que producteur de radio publique, il a produit et/ou animé plusieurs séries, dont The Spoken Word, Porches: The South and Her Writers, Circle of Friends, Between the Lines, ArtVoice et Atlanta Forum. Ses écrits ont paru dans Paste Magazine, Five Points Magazine, l'Atlanta Journal Constitution, AJC Travel, The Saporta Report, et d'autres. The Hidden Light of Northern Fires est son premier roman. Il est diplômé de l'Université Cornell et vit à Decatur, en Géorgie, avec sa femme Eva.
